Casual Seasonal Education Funding Reform Administrative Project Coordinator Help Keep One of Delaware's Most Important Education Initiatives Moving Forward The Delaware Department of Education is seeking an organized, detail-oriented professional to serve as the Education Funding Reform Administrative Project Coordinator. This position provides high-level project coordination and administrative support to the Education Funding Reform Program Manager while helping ensure project activities remain organized, documented, and on schedule. If you enjoy organizing complex projects, managing multiple priorities, coordinating meetings, and keeping teams aligned, this position offers an opportunity to support a statewide initiative that will have a lasting impact on Delaware's public education system. Why This Role Matters As the Education Funding Reform Administrative Project Coordinator, you will: Serve as the organizational hub for the Department's Education Funding Reform initiative. Keep project schedules, documentation, and deliverables organized and moving forward. Coordinate meetings involving Department leadership and statewide education partners. Ensure project decisions, action items, and implementation activities are accurately documented. Support executive leadership with high-quality project coordination and communication. Prepare presentations, reports, and executive briefing materials.
Major Responsibilities:
Project Coordination Maintain project schedules, timelines, milestones, and deliverables. Track project tasks, assignments, and implementation progress. Support project reporting and implementation planning. Maintain project management software and tracking tools. Meeting & Executive Support Coordinate meetings using Microsoft Teams and Zoom. Develop agendas and meeting materials. Record detailed meeting minutes. Track action items and follow-up activities. Prepare presentations, reports, and executive briefing materials. Project Documentation Organize electronic project files and records. Maintain SharePoint and OneDrive project libraries. Ensure documentation remains current and accessible. Develop templates, logs, and standardized project documents. Stakeholder Support Coordinate communications among Department staff and project stakeholders. Assist with workgroups, advisory meetings, and public engagement activities. Support implementation planning across multiple workstreams.
Essential Qualifications:
Education:
Associate's degree in Business Administration, Project Management, Office Administration, Information Technology, or a related field required. Bachelor's degree preferred.
Experience:
Candidates should possess experience in several of the following areas: Minimum three years providing administrative, executive, or project support. Coordinating meetings and preparing agendas. Recording detailed meeting minutes and tracking follow-up actions. Managing project schedules and deadlines. Organizing electronic records and documentation. Supporting multiple stakeholders in a fast-paced environment. Experience with state government or education organizations is preferred.

Salary:
Salary Range:
$27.99
  • 39.
97 hourly. The final salary will be determined based on the candidate's education and experience in accordance with the Department of Education's compensation policy. Direct deposit of payroll checks is a condition of state employment, and employees are paid on a lag pay schedule with the first payment made after approximately one month of employment.
Notes:
Casual/seasonal employment is offered to assist agencies on a temporary basis and the duration of employment is determined by the needs of the agency, available funding and job performance. Casual/Seasonal employees are permitted to work a maximum of 29.50 hours per week with supervisor approval. A criminal background check is required. The successful candidate must demonstrate during the interview process an understanding of diversity, educational equity and multicultural education.
