Consultant Freelance Instructional Designer and Curriculum Developer Description:

Join the JKS Production Network. John Kind Studios is seeking experienced instructional designers and curriculum developers to support audiovisual education, media instruction, creative-business learning, workforce development, and institutional programs.

Assignments may include developing:

Learning objectives Lesson plans Workshop materials Exercises and demonstrations Assessments Facilitator guides Student resources Program sequences Adaptations for different ages, experience levels, or learning environments Curriculum development and instruction are separate responsibilities. A contractor is not automatically expected to teach the curriculum unless facilitation is expressly included and compensated. This is a project-based independent-contractor opportunity. Joining the JKS Production Network does not guarantee assignments, hours, minimum income, or exclusivity. Each assignment is confirmed separately in writing.

Qualifications:

Preferred qualifications include: Demonstrated curriculum-development or instructional-design experience Samples of lesson plans, learning materials, facilitator guides, or comparable work Ability to translate technical or creative subjects into accessible instruction Strong writing, organization, and communication skills Experience working with schools, nonprofits, workforce programs, community organizations, or institutional partners Cultural awareness and the ability to develop respectful, audience-appropriate learning materials Ability to meet deadlines and incorporate approved revisions
