What the Curriculum & Test Coordinator does: Provides leadership and coordination in all areas of language arts and educational assessment; oversees the operations of the libraries.
DUTIES:
Provide support and guidance to teaching staff in language arts and reading. Model effective instructional techniques in the classroom. Train staff in testing instrument usage and assessment data interpretation. Develop and administer diagnostic tests for students, prescribing appropriate teaching strategies. Deliver individual and small group instruction in reading, as well as content area subjects as needed. Conduct educational evaluations and attend relevant testing-related meetings. Assist with the coordination and administration of state assessments. Supervise students to ensure safety and implement behavior management programs. Coordinate student assessment with curriculum and supplemental reading programs. Oversee library upgrades, materials usage, and maintenance. Attend team meetings and perform additional assigned duties as needed.
REQUIREMENTS
Eligibility for Advanced Professional License in Special Education 3 years of successful teaching experience Additional coursework or successful experience administering and interpreting diagnostic tests Additional coursework in reading remediation
