Job Description

Summary We are seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to join our team at Alcona Elementary as a part-time Instructional Coach for grades K-5. The ideal candidate will work collaboratively with teachers to enhance instructional practices, improve student outcomes, and foster a positive learning environment. This role involves providing support, resources, and professional development tailored to the unique needs of our educators and students. Responsibilities Collaborate with teachers to identify areas for instructional improvement and develop targeted strategies to enhance teaching practices. Conduct classroom observations and provide constructive feedback to educators on their instructional methods. Facilitate professional development workshops and training sessions focused on best practices in K-5 education. Assist teachers in integrating technology and innovative teaching strategies into their lesson plans. Support the implementation of curriculum initiatives and instructional programs aligned with state standards. Foster a culture of continuous improvement by encouraging reflective practices among staff. Maintain open lines of communication with teachers, administrators, and stakeholders to ensure a cohesive approach to instruction. Monitor and assess the effectiveness of instructional strategies and provide data-driven recommendations for improvement. Stay current with educational research and trends to inform coaching practices and professional development offerings. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field; Master's degree preferred. Valid teaching certification with experience in K-5 education. Proven experience as an instructional coach, mentor, or teacher leader. Strong knowledge of instructional strategies, curriculum development, and assessment practices. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with diverse stakeholders. Ability to analyze data and use it to inform instructional practices. Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively. Commitment to professional growth and a passion for supporting educators and students.
