Job Description

Instructional Specialist Youth Programs Delaware Valley University (DelVal) is an academic leader in experiential learning, offering a combination of hands-on training and personalized academic attention since 1896. Located in Doylestown, Pennsylvania, DelVal offers 28 undergraduate majors, graduate degrees, continuing education, online career development, and certificate programs. The university is known for its 1,000-acre campus and distinctive programs in agribusiness, food science, animal science, and zoo science. With a 13:1 student-faculty ratio, DelVal provides hands-on learning through small class sizes across all disciplines. We are seeking experienced K-12 and higher education instructors to teach summer specialty camps during the 2026 summer camp season and school-year programs during the 2026-2027 academic year. Instructional Specialists will lead one-week programs in areas including Equine Science, Animal Science, Theatre, Robotics, STEM, Digital Media, Arts, Coding, App and Game Design, and more.
Flexible scheduling:
work for one to eight weeks based on your availability. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Developing curriculum and creating engaging activities for K-12 participants Delivering instruction in your area of specialization Setting up and maintaining program areas Supervising program participants and Youth Programs Team Members Managing program inventory and materials Creating a dynamic, hands-on learning environment Qualifications 18 years of age or older 4+ years of experience teaching or instructing K-12 or higher education students Extensive knowledge and experience in area of specialization Proven curriculum development and instructional design skills Experience supervising staff preferred Strong communication and classroom management abilities Collaborative team player with strong initiative Dependable, adaptable, and committed to creating a safe, inclusive environment Selected applicants will be responsible for providing the University with clearances, appropriate to the position, that have been completed within the last 5 years. These clearances will include but are not limited to: Pennsylvania State Police Criminal Record Check, the Pennsylvania Child Abuse History Certification, and the FBI Criminal Background Check completed by IDENTGO.
