Job Description

Position Summary New England Institute of Technology (NEIT) seeks a detail-oriented and collaborativeprofessional to serve as the institution's Canvas Administrator while providing production and support services to the Instructional Designteam and faculty. This role combines technical LMS administration with hands-on faculty support and creative production work, making itideal for someone who enjoys variety and wants to grow their skill set across educational technology, instructional design, and multimedia. Key Responsibilities Canvas Administration
  • Serve as primary administrator for the College's Canvas LMS, managing accounts, terms, courses, and enrollments
  • Perform course copies, cross-listing of sections, and other routine Canvas configuration tasks
  • Troubleshoot and resolve Canvas-related issues for faculty and staff
  • Maintain system settings, integrations, and user permissions Faculty Support
  • Provide front-line assistance to faculty on basic Canvas tasks (course copying,cross-listing, content organization, etc.)
  • Support onboarding of new faculty and ongoingfaculty development related to Canvas and instructional technology
  • Create and maintaindocumentation/guides for common Canvas workflows Instructional Design Production Support
  • Assist the Instructional Design team with production tasks (course builds, multimedia editing, contentformatting, etc.)
  • Support development of instructional materials and course templates Additional Duties
  • Photograph campus and school events forinstitutional use (marketing, archives, publications)
  • Update and maintain the College'scourse catalog, ensuring accuracy each term/year Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Experience administering Canvas or another LMS strongly preferred
  • Familiaritywith instructional design principles and practices
  • Basic photography skills and comfortusing a camera in public/event settings
  • Strong organizational skills and attention todetail (especially for catalog updates)
  • Excellent communication skills and acustomer-service orientation toward faculty support
  • Ability to manage multiple, variedresponsibilities and shifting priorities Preferred Skills
  • Experience with course catalog management systems
  • Basic photo/video editingskills
