Resume Position Overview The Assessment Specialist supports district assessment programs by coordinating required testing procedures, ensuring compliance with district and state testing security requirements, and assisting schools with the administration of mandated assessments. Key Responsibilities Administer district and state assessment testing at elementary school sites, including reading, mathematics, and other mandated assessments. Deliver completed testing materials to the district office to ensure secure handling and compliance with established guidelines. Oversee the checking and counting of testing documentation and materials to ensure test security and accurate reporting. Respond to inquiries from teachers, administrators, and district staff regarding testing procedures and assessment requirements. Provide support to teachers and school administrators by supplying assessment materials and information regarding required testing. Maintain confidentiality and security of all testing materials and student assessment data. Assist schools with following established policies and procedures related to assessment security and administration. Participate in meetings and training sessions related to district and state testing programs. Perform other related duties as assigned. Job Requirements - Minimum Qualifications Skills Operating standard office equipment and relevant software applications Presenting information and communicating procedures clearly Maintaining accurate records and documentation Knowledge District and state testing policies and procedures Applicable codes, policies, regulations, and laws related to assessment administration Basic mathematical calculations and data handling Abilities Schedule assessment activities and coordinate testing procedures Maintain strict security and confidentiality of testing materials Gather and organize assessment data and documentation Communicate effectively with school personnel and district staff Meet deadlines and maintain organized records Responsibility Works under direct supervision following established testing procedures while coordinating assessment administration and supporting district testing programs. Work Environment Work is performed primarily in school settings and may require standing for extended periods while administering assessments. The position may involve occasional lifting, carrying materials, and moving between school locations. Experience Job-related experience is desired. Education High school diploma or equivalent.
