Landmark College Institute for Research and Training (LCIRT) Position Summary The Assistant Director of Professional Development (ADPD) supports the design, development, coordination, and delivery of Landmark College Institute for Research and Training's (LCIRT) professional learning programs. Reporting to the Associate Director of LCIRT, the ADPD serves as a primary point of contact for organizations seeking Landmark College's expertise in neurodiversity, learning disabilities, ADHD, autism, executive function, and inclusive educational practices. The ADPD manages the full lifecycle of professional workshop engagements—from initial client consultation through proposal development, contracting, program design, facilitation, and evaluation. The position develops and delivers customized workshops, webinars, conference presentations, and consulting engagements for educators, schools, colleges and universities, employers, and other organizations. The ADPD also teaches one course annually in Landmark College's online Learning Disabilities and Neurodiversity Post-Baccalaureate Certificate Program and supports the planning and implementation of Landmark College's annual Summer Institute for Educators. This position is ideal for an educator who enjoys collaborating with clients, designing engaging learning experiences, and translating research into practical strategies that improve outcomes for neurodivergent learners. Essential Responsibilities Client Engagement and Program Development (20%) Serve as a primary contact for organizations seeking professional development and consulting services from LCIRT Conduct client intake meetings to identify organizational goals, learning needs, desired outcomes, and program logistics Collaborate with clients to develop customized professional learning solutions Prepare proposals, scopes of work, budgets, timelines, and contracts for professional development and consulting engagements Coordinate with internal departments to ensure successful implementation of client agreements Cultivate strong client relationships that encourage long-term partnerships and repeat engagements Workshop, Consulting and Curriculum Development (20%) Design and develop customized professional development workshops grounded in evidence-based practices related to learning disabilities, ADHD, autism, executive functioning, neurodiversity, accessibility, and inclusive teaching Develop learning objectives, participant materials, facilitator guides, and resource toolkits for in-person and online delivery Adapt existing Landmark College content to meet the needs of diverse educational and organizational audiences Create and expand professional learning offerings. Contribute to course curriculum development (new and updates to existing course content) in the Learning Disabilities and Neurodiversity Post-Baccalaureate Certificate Program Incorporate adult learning principles and interactive instructional strategies into all programming Facilitation and Professional Learning Delivery (50%) Deliver engaging in-person and virtual workshops for K—12 educators, higher education professionals, employers, families, and community organizations Develop and facilitate live webinars and multi-session online learning experiences Present at regional, national, and international conferences on topics related to neurodiversity, learning disabilities, ADHD, autism, executive functioning, and inclusive educational practices Teach one course annually in Landmark College's online Learning Disabilities and Neurodiversity Post-Baccalaureate Certificate Program Evaluate participant learning and use feedback to continuously improve professional development offerings Summer Institute and Program Support (5%) Support planning, coordination, and delivery of Landmark College's annual Summer Institute for Educators Assist with conference programming, presenter coordination, participant communications, and on-site facilitation Contribute to the development of new conference sessions and educational resources Support additional LCIRT events, institutes, and special initiatives as needed Scholarship and Professional Engagement (5%) Stay current with emerging research and best practices in neurodiversity and inclusive education Translate research into accessible presentations, workshops, webinars, and practitioner resources Contribute to publications, blogs, conference presentations, and other scholarly or professional dissemination activities as appropriate Required Qualifications Master's degree in Education, Special Education, Higher Education, Psychology, Counseling, Neuroscience, or a closely related field Demonstrated knowledge of learning disabilities, ADHD, autism, executive functioning, neurodiversity, and inclusive educational practices Experience designing and facilitating professional development for adult learners Excellent presentation and public speaking skills in both virtual and in-person settings Experience developing educational materials and instructional resources Strong project management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple concurrent projects Excellent written, interpersonal, and client communication skills Ability to travel nationally and work occasionally evenings or weekends Preferred Qualifications Postsecondary teaching experience Experience teaching online courses for adult learners Experience providing educational consulting or organizational training Familiarity with instructional design principles and learning management systems Experience planning conferences, institutes, or large-scale educational events Record of conference presentations, publications, or other professional scholarship Core Competencies Client Relationship Management Professional Development Design Adult Learning and Facilitation Workshop Development Proposal and Contract Development Instructional Design Project Management Public Speaking and Presentation Collaboration Adaptability Communication Customer Service Working Conditions This position is located in Putney, Vermont on the Landmark College campus. The candidate must be able to work in general office conditions as well as other conditions required by travel. Compensation:

At Landmark College, our compensation philosophy reflects our institutional values, our commitment to fairness and equity, and our role as a transformative educational community. The compensation for the above position is $59,900 - $89,900.
