Job Description

After-School Activity Coach / Instructor We are looking for creative, energetic, and reliable Activity Coaches to lead enrichment classes for children ages 4-10 in our After-School Program. We offer a wide variety of activities and are always open to introducing new classes based on the skills and talents of our coaches! Some of our current activities include Cake Decorating, STEM, Basketball, Soccer, Jewelry Making, Recycled Arts, Messy Arts, String Art, Music, Dance, and more. Responsibilities Lead engaging, age-appropriate activity classes for children ages 4-10. Prepare a simple lesson plan for each class, including the activity and materials needed. Arrive at 2:30 PM to set up your classroom and prepare materials. Teach and actively engage children throughout the activity. Manage the group and maintain a safe, positive, and organized environment. Clean and organize the classroom and materials at the end of the day. Communicate material needs and lesson plans to the program team in advance. Schedule Hours are approximately 2:30-6:00 PM, Monday-Friday . Coaches may work 1-5 days per week , depending on availability and program needs. Your selected days must remain consistent each week. For example, if you commit to Tuesdays and Thursdays, you must be available every Tuesday and Thursday. Pay $25-$35 per hour , based on experience, skills, and the activity being taught. Qualifications Experience working with children ages 4-10 . Strong knowledge or demonstrated ability in the activity you would like to teach. You do not need to be a certified teacher or have formally taught your specific activity before, but you should be confident in your skill and able to turn it into an engaging, age-appropriate class. Comfortable leading and managing a group of children. As a licensed after-school program, selected candidates must complete all required onboarding and background-clearance requirements, including fingerprinting and a medical form/TB screening, before beginning employment.
