(Health Savings Account) Bilingual Stipend The District will provide a stipend of 3.66% of step 1 Column 1 to a classroom teacher if the following conditions are met: a. The teacher has a Bilingual Authorization or Bilingual, Cross-Cultural, Language and Academic Development Certificate (BCLAD) b. The teacher is teaching in a District designated bilingual program as designated by our PVUSD English Learner Master Plan or is serving as a MEST teacher in the Migrant Education program, in the year the stipend is paid. The Pajaro Valley Unified School District is located in the beautiful Santa Cruz County, California. Pajaro Valley Unified School District is one of the largest school districts in Northern California, presently serving a K-12 student population of approximately 20,000. The District also has an experienced staff to address the needs of the students and the schools. The District currently employs 1,100 certificated and 900 classified employees. Employment with the Pajaro Valley Unified School District is not complete or official until applicants meet all pre-employment requirements, including Board of Trustee approval. As part of the selection process, all new employees are required to provide the following information: new employees must be fingerprinted (paid by the District); TB test (paid by the employee); social security card; picture identification; and authorization to work (I-9).
