We specialize in creating exciting, story-driven performances that combine aerial arts, dance, music, character, and theatrical production, and we are looking for an instructor who genuinely loves aerial arts, choreography, performance, and bringing creative ideas to life. We are especially interested in someone who enjoys working with children and teens and wants to do more than simply teach aerial skills—we want someone excited about helping students turn those skills into creative, memorable performances. Who We're Looking For We would love to hear from: Experienced aerial silks instructors Aerialists with teaching or coaching experience Aerial performers with a strong creative eye for choreography Instructors experienced in working with children and/or teens Creatives interested in developing story-driven aerial performances Instructors with experience in both aerial arts and dance choreography, although dance experience is not required Experience with additional aerial apparatuses is always welcome, but our primary need is aerial silks instruction and choreography. More Than Teaching Skills At Aspire, aerial instruction is about more than learning individual tricks. We love helping students develop the ability to connect skills together into beautiful sequences and performances incorporating music, movement, character, storytelling, and choreography. We are looking for someone who enjoys the creative side of aerial arts and wants to contribute ideas to performances and productions. About Aspire Aspire Aerial Dance & Movement is a creative movement studio in Boulder focused on aerial arts, dance, performance, and imaginative theatrical productions. Our performances go beyond traditional recitals. We create shows that incorporate storytelling, music, characters, dance, aerial arts, costumes, and theatrical elements to give students an exciting and memorable performance experience. Responsibilities May Include Teaching aerial silks classes to children and/or teens Teaching safe, progressive aerial technique Creating aerial combinations and choreography Helping students transition individual skills into sequences Preparing students for performances Collaborating on show concepts, music, characters, and choreography Helping students develop confidence, artistry, technique, and performance quality Contributing creative ideas to our productions and studio programs Qualifications Previous aerial silks experience is required for this position. Aerial teaching or coaching experience is strongly preferred, although we are also interested in experienced aerialists and performers who demonstrate the ability and personality to become excellent instructors. Experience working with children is a plus. Most importantly, we are looking for someone who is safe, dependable, encouraging, creative, and genuinely excited about teaching aerial arts and creating performances. Schedule & Pay Part-Time $30-$40/hour, depending on experience. Scheduling may include weekday afternoons/evenings and potentially additional rehearsals or performance preparation. Interested?
