Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and passionate Acting Coach to inspire and guide performers 8-18yrs old through their theatrical journeys. In this role, you will design engaging acting curricula and foster a creative environment that encourages growth, confidence, and artistic excellence. Your expertise will help actors of all levels develop their craft, interpret characters convincingly, and deliver compelling performances. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to shape the next generation of talented performers while working in a vibrant, collaborative setting. Responsibilities Develop comprehensive acting curricula tailored to diverse skill levels and age groups, incorporating techniques such as improvisation, character development, and scene work. Manage classroom dynamics effectively by implementing behavior management strategies that promote respect, focus, and collaboration among students. Plan and execute engaging warm-up exercises, acting drills, and scene studies that stimulate creativity and technical growth. Support students' emotional well-being by creating a safe space for expression and encouraging positive peer interactions. Maintain detailed lesson plans and progress records to monitor individual development and tailor coaching approaches accordingly. Requirements Proven experience in teaching acting or performing arts with a strong background in theater performance or related fields. Demonstrated ability to develop curriculum that enhances students' acting skills across various techniques such as improvisation, scene study, and character analysis. Experience working with children or youth programs is highly desirable, along with familiarity in early childhood education or preschool settings. Strong classroom management skills combined with the ability to motivate and inspire learners of all ages. Excellent communication skills with the ability to provide clear guidance and constructive feedback. Background in special education or experience working with diverse learning needs is advantageous. Additional skills in photography, sewing for costume design, culinary arts related to performance settings, or childcare are considered valuable assets.
