Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a passionate and dynamic Music Educator and Private Lesson Teacher to inspire learners of all ages through personalized instruction and engaging curriculum development. In this role, you will foster a love for music by meeting students where they are at, inspiring them to grow and filling their lives with music. Your energetic approach will motivate learners to achieve their musical goals while cultivating confidence and creativity. We are looking for 1 teacher who can teach in a private lesson setting, small group voice sessions learning and working on music for our upcoming musicals, as well as teach the music to our theatre production students for their upcoming productions. Responsibilities Be prepared each week to meet your students where they are at and help them progress along as a musician through individualised attention and planning. Be Flexible in your approach to ensure each student is thriving and enjoying their time exploring music. Be able to teach harmonies to young voices in small group and large group rehearsal settings. Be able to work with multiple scores each week. Our company is a Rep Company with multiple productions in rehearsals each week. We are looking for someone who loves multi-tasking and working on multiple projects at once. Deliver engaging private lessons in instruments such as piano, guitar, violin, drums or voice, ensuring clear communication of technical skills and musical concepts. Manage classroom environments effectively. Plan and execute lesson plans that incorporate diverse teaching methods to make sure students are engaged. Communicate with parents with confidence and excitement each class to build relationships with the families at the music studio. Adapt teaching strategies for students with special needs or ear Experience Proven experience in teaching music to children, with a strong background in general music and choral settings. Experience working with students with special needs or in inclusive educational environments is highly desirable but not a requirement. Knowledge of childhood development principles relevant to arts education enhances your ability to connect with young learners effectively.
Pay:
$20.00 - $25.00 per hour
