3003328172-2 Apply for this job now Job Description US Foods is seeking a Delivery Driver Lead Trainer to support our wholesale foodservice distribution operations. In this on-site role, you will safely operate CDL vehicles to deliver products to restaurants, healthcare, and hospitality customers while leading and coaching route drivers. You will conduct ride-alongs, skills assessments, and safety training, ensuring adherence to DOT, food safety, and company standards. Partnering with operations, you'll improve route efficiency, service quality, and support new driver onboarding in our fast-paced, performance-driven environment. Responsibilities Safely operate CDL vehicle to deliver foodservice products to customer locations on scheduled routes. Lead, train, and mentor delivery drivers on safe driving, product handling, and customer service standards. Conduct ride-alongs, skills evaluations, and safety observations; provide feedback and coaching. Ensure accurate loading, unloading, and verification of orders, paperwork, and returns. Model excellent customer service, resolving delivery issues and escalating as needed. Support new driver onboarding, route familiarization, and ongoing skills development. Promote a safety-first culture by reinforcing DOT, company, and food safety policies. Collaborate with operations and dispatch to improve route efficiency and service quality. Maintain vehicle inspection, compliance, and incident documentation. Identify performance gaps and recommend training or process improvements.
