N/A Function / Position Summary To provide the student body and the community with the best possible procedures for the sale of tickets to high school events. Job Duties / Responsibilities Communicate effectively with parents, students, administrators, teacher colleagues, and community leaders. Demonstrate prompt and regular attendance. Cultivate a positive, harassment free culture which motivates students through the use of effective communication and constructive feedback. Follow District and school procedures for ticket sales in accordance with the Athletic Director. Maintain accurate accounting records for each event. Attend all ticketed athletic events. Communicate and collaborate with the school treasurer to arrange for cash banks for all ticketed events. Acquire the cash bag from the school treasurer prior to each ticketed event; if necessary, work with Athletic Director to store money in a safe, locked location directly prior to the event. Set up and manage the ticket sales area at least 30 minutes prior to the start of each ticketed event. Acquire and manage the necessary materials for each ticketed event including tickets, signage, family passes, programs, etc. Count and prepare deposit slip at the conclusion of each contest; store money in a safe, locked location determined in collaboration with the Athletic Director and school treasurer. Deposit money with the school treasurer the day immediately following each event. Maintain accurate accounting records of all ticket sales, as per the athletic department accounting form. Collaborate and maintain accountability and transparency with Athletic Director and school treasurer regarding all receipt and deposit transitions and ticket sales. Maintain an audited account of tickets sold and revenues for each sports season. Act as Head Ticket Seller at all home Football, Boys and Girls Basketball, Wrestling, and Boys and Girls Volleyball games. Education High School Diploma required Experience / Knowledge Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both in oral and written form using a variety of communication techniques and tools to ensure the appropriate flow of information, collaborative efforts, and feedback, and to conduct conferences as needed with parents, students, administrators, or other teachers. Strong communication, public relations, and interpersonal skills. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions, inquiries, and/or complaints. Display courtesy, tact, and respect when dealing with others. Maintain appropriate confidentiality. Establish and maintain effective working relationships; demonstrate a commitment to teamwork. Ability and willingness to learn and refresh job skills through professional development in order to meet the changing needs of this position. Ability to react well under pressure, handle and balance multiple demands at one time, work with frequent unscheduled interruptions, and perform duties and tasks at expected levels of professionalism. Spanish language skills preferred. Physical Demands Occasionally requires working in warm temperatures, including outdoors. Occasionally requires physical exertion to manually move, lift, or carry heavy materials or equipment. Must work in noisy and crowded environments. Public contact requiring appropriate business-like apparel. Terms of Employment This is an Appendix F stipend position in accordance to the school year calendar.
