Category=Secretarial%2fClerical Golf Middle School is seeking a welcoming, organized, and collaborative School Secretary to support our students, families, and staff. As the primary point of contact for the main office, you will help create a positive school climate while ensuring efficient day-to-day operations in alignment with our district mission: "Learning Today... QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
Education:
High school diploma or GED required. Post-secondary training is preferred.
Experience:
Experience working in a general office or equivalent setting is preferred.
Technical Skills:
Highly proficient in computer applications, including Google Suite (Sheets, Docs, etc.) or Microsoft Office.
Core Competencies:
Strong project management skills, including personal initiative and collaborative coordination. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with constant interruptions and periods of high-volume activity. Excellent communication skills and an open, growth-oriented mindset.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Communication & Front Office Reception:
Professionally greet visitors, route incoming telephone calls, manage daily communication, and distribute incoming mail and packages.
Student Records & Academic Support:
Maintain all student attendance records, inform the principal of significant attendance concerns, manage registrations/transfers, and assist with progress report distribution.
Building Safety & Security:
Screen all visitors according to district security protocols, uphold strict confidentiality, and keep the principal informed of challenging student or family needs.
Financial & Operational Management:
Collect fees, process purchase orders, order and maintain school supplies, oversee office equipment, and assist with transportation inquiries.
Substitute Procurement & Team Collaboration:
Help manage the process and procurement of substitute teachers while working collaboratively across administrative, teaching, and custodial teams.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS & ENVIRONMENT
Physical Demands:
Tasks involve occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling; some climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling.
Dexterity:
Significant finger dexterity is required for extensive typing and office computer tasks.
Mobility:
Generally requires an even split of 50% sitting and 50% standing.
Environment:
Duties are performed under minimal temperature variations in a generally hazard-free main office environment.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
Salary Range Salary will be established in accordance with the collective bargaining agreement between the Board of Education and the Golf Teachers and Support Staff Union Local 1274. The specific range is determined based on the candidate's education level and years of experience. Benefits Golf School District 67 offers a comprehensive benefits package, including:
