Job Description
Company Overview Mental Health Providers of Western Queens, Inc. is seeking a dedicated and organized Assistant School Site Coordinator to support school-based behavioral health services. The Assistant School Site Coordinator will work closely with the Site Coordinator, school personnel, therapists, and program leadership to ensure effective coordination of services, referrals, intakes, scheduling, and day-to-day school operations. The ideal candidate will have strong communication and organizational skills, experience working in a school or behavioral health setting, and the ability to effectively manage multiple responsibilities. Duties & Responsibilities Assist and support the Site Coordinator with daily school-based program operations. Maintain positive and collaborative relationships with assigned schools through regular communication with school staff. Attend off-hour school activities and events, including: PTA meetings Parent/Teacher nights Back-to-school events Other school-related activities as needed Respond to and assist with addressing in-school crises. Help ensure a regular and steady flow of referrals and intakes from all assigned schools. Follow up on referrals and intakes to support timely access to services. Conduct intake and collateral sessions as assigned. Assist therapists with patient scheduling and other logistical or administrative needs. Coordinate with school staff and agency personnel to facilitate effective service delivery. Maintain required productivity and weekly kept-visit expectations: Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
LMSW, MSW, MHC-LP, or LMHC. Bilingual Spanish/English preferred or required. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong organizational and multitasking abilities. Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with school personnel, families, and agency staff. Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications. Experience working with databases and/or Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems. Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a multidisciplinary team. Ability to respond appropriately and professionally to school-based situations and crises. Work Schedule Standard school-day hours are8:30 AM-4:30 PM , with adjustments as needed for school events, meetings, and other program requirements.
Pay:
$70,000.00 - $72,000.00 per year
