Job Description

Intervention Assistant / Intervention Specialist Position Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Intervention Assistant/Intervention Specialist to join our student services team. This position provides direct support to students with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and works collaboratively with classroom teachers and school staff to help students succeed academically and behaviorally. The ideal candidate is someone who enjoys working directly with students, collaborating with educators, and making a meaningful difference in the educational experience of students with diverse learning needs.
Schedule:
Monday-Friday, typically 7:30 AM-4:30
PM Employment Type:
Full-Time Responsibilities Provide instructional and academic support to students with IEPs within the general education classroom. Maintain an assigned caseload of students receiving special education services. Implement accommodations, modifications, and specially designed instruction as outlined in students' IEPs. Work collaboratively with general education teachers and other members of the student services team. Monitor student progress and communicate student needs and concerns with appropriate staff. Support students in accessing and participating in the general education curriculum. Assist with data collection and documentation related to student goals and progress. Build positive, supportive relationships with students. Participate in IEP meetings and other student support meetings as appropriate. Maintain confidentiality and follow all school policies, procedures, and special education requirements. Contribute to a positive, collaborative school environment. Experience working with students with disabilities preferred. Experience in a school or educational setting preferred. Strong communication and collaboration skills. Ability to work effectively as part of a team. Patient, dependable, and student-centered approach. Appropriate Ohio licensure/certification preferred or willingness to obtain required credentials.
