Job Description:
Longwood University invites qualified applicants to apply for the position of Auxiliary Services Specialist / Administrative and Office Specialist III (00055) in the Office of Cashiering and Student Accounts. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing daily operations for Lancer Card and Parking Services; accurate and timely billing and invoicing; and participating in outreach events to communicate information with parents, faculty, staff, students, and campus partners. This position is located in Farmville, Virginia, and is required to work in person on Longwood University's campus. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
Essential Responsibilities and Duties:
Provide professional customer service to students, faculty, staff, contractors, and campus visitors in person, by phone, and via email. Respond to routine inquiries related to Lancer Card and Parking Services operations. Print and issue ID cards and parking permits while maintaining accurate records. Assist with processing departmental deposits, financial transactions, reports, and related documentation. Assist with Lancer Card, meal plan, parking, and off-campus program operations, including routine account maintenance and issue resolution. Assist with billing processes, reconciliations, parking citation and meal plan appeal meetings, and departmental recordkeeping. Support new student orientation, move-in, new employee orientation, and other campus events. Assist with website updates, inventory management, departmental projects, and general office operations. Maintain accurate records and follow established University policies and procedures. Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent Demonstrated customer service experience Strong verbal and written communication skills Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced office environment Experience in administrative support preferred Experience in higher education preferred Experience with ID card systems, parking management systems, Banner, TouchNet, or similar enterprise software preferred Experience with financial recordkeeping preferred
Additional Information:
This is a full-time, classified, non-exempt position in pay band 3. The anticipated salary range for this position is $35,500 - $40,000 annually. A successful fingerprint-based criminal background investigation is required. AmeriCorps, Peace Corps, and other national service alumni are encouraged to apply.
