Job Description

Student Services Event Specialist Burlington, VT in office $15.00 - $25.00/hour DOE Monday-Friday | 8:00 AM-4:30 PM

•A weekend day may be required on occasion for an event .

Temporary Assignment:

9/28 through End of Year with possibility of extension. Do you enjoy event planning, student engagement, and working in a fast-paced environment? We're seeking a Student Services Event Specialist to support student recruitment, retention, and campus events for a well-respected higher education institution in Burlington.

Responsibilities:

Coordinate and support recruitment events, including Open Houses, Information Sessions, and Admitted Student programs. Work closely with Admissions to connect prospective students with campus resources, faculty, and staff. Plan and facilitate orientation activities, alumni events, student engagement programs, and retention initiatives. Support summer programs, internships, and new student opportunity development. Serve as a welcoming point of contact for students, families, and visitors. Update websites, recruitment materials, and promotional content. Coordinate branded marketing materials and outreach efforts. Assist with commencement planning and event execution. Provide administrative support to Student Services leadership and staff.

Qualifications:

1-3 years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Strong event planning, organizational, communication, and proofreading skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel. Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines. Commitment to diversity and inclusion.

Preferred Qualifications:
