Job Overview As a Pre-Kindergarten Teacher, you'll create a welcoming, engaging classroom where young children build foundational skills and confidence. You'll plan age-appropriate learning experiences in literacy, math, movement, and social development, adapting instruction to children's individual needs. This is a paid position. Responsibilities Develop curriculum and lesson plans that support early childhood education and childhood development. Teach literacy, early math, physical education, and other foundational skills through age-appropriate activities. Use positive behavior management and classroom management practices to support a safe, inclusive learning environment. Observe children's progress, provide individualized support, and coordinate special education or early intervention strategies when appropriate. Communicate with families about children's learning and well-being; follow child welfare procedures and mandated reporting laws. Displays a passion for developing preschool-age appropriate educational activities and practice. Works efficiently within existing learning structures and believes in the capability of children to excel. Facilitates problem-solving. Serves as a role-model to child learners. Invests in the students' well-being, health, and safety. Manages small and large groups of students in a classroom environment and communicates effectively with students, including on potentially sensitive topics Adheres to school processes and protocols. Requirements Teaching experience in Pre-K class for at least 5 Years group leader. Experience working with children; preschool teaching, group lead, classroom experience is valuable. Knowledge of child development instruction, curriculum development, literacy education, lesson planning, and working with students. Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with families and colleagues.

Pay:

$19.00 - $23.00 per hour
