Job Description

Overview We are seeking a passionate and energetic Pre-Kindergarten Lead Teacher to inspire young learners and foster a nurturing, engaging classroom environment. In this vital role, you will lead a dynamic early childhood education team, develop innovative curriculum plans, and create a positive space where children can explore, learn, and grow. Duties Design and implement developmentally appropriate lesson plans aligned with early childhood education standards, including literacy, math, physical education, and social skills. Foster a safe, inclusive classroom environment that promotes positive behavior management and classroom management strategies. Engage children in hands-on activities that support child development instruction and encourage curiosity and exploration. Communicate regularly with parents and guardians to share progress, discuss concerns, and promote active involvement in their child's education. Collaborate with colleagues to develop curriculum development initiatives and participate in ongoing professional development related to special education, early intervention, and childhood development. Ensure compliance with mandated reporting laws and child welfare policies to maintain a safe learning environment. Conduct assessments using standardized testing tools to monitor student progress and adapt teaching strategies accordingly. Requirements Proven experience working with children in preschool or daycare settings, demonstrating strong classroom experience. Knowledge of early childhood education principles, including child development instruction and preschool teaching methodologies. Experience with curriculum development, lesson planning, behavior management, and classroom management techniques. Familiarity with special education practices, early intervention strategies, and literacy education methods. Ability to communicate effectively with children, parents, staff, and community partners using excellent communication skills. Valid first aid and CPR certification; ongoing commitment to child safety standards. Understanding of mandated reporting laws related to child welfare and protection. Experience teaching physical education or math is a plus; familiarity with standardized testing is beneficial. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple responsibilities efficiently in a fast-paced environment. $22.00 - $26.00 per hour
