The ideal candidate will be responsible for fostering a positive learning environment that encourages student engagement and academic growth. This role involves developing and implementing lesson plans, assessing student progress, and collaborating with parents and staff to support the diverse needs of students. The teacher will play a vital role in shaping young minds and promoting a love for learning. Duties Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with curriculum standards. Foster a positive classroom environment that promotes respect, inclusivity, and collaboration. Utilize effective classroom management techniques to maintain an orderly learning space. Assess student performance through various methods, including standardized testing and informal assessments. Provide individualized support for students with special needs, including those on the autism spectrum. Incorporate technology into lessons to enhance learning experiences. Mentor students in their academic and personal development, offering guidance and support. Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development and educational initiatives. Communicate effectively with parents regarding student progress and classroom activities. Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with educational best practices. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field; teaching certification preferred. Proven experience working with children in an educational setting, preferably in elementary education. Strong knowledge of childhood development principles and early intervention strategies. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with students, parents, and colleagues. Experience in curriculum development, lesson planning, and classroom management techniques. Familiarity with literacy education, math instruction, physical education, and behavior management strategies. Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the diverse needs of students, including those requiring special education services. Experience with tutoring or mentoring students is highly desirable. Knowledge of Montessori principles or private school experience is a plus. Strong proofreading and writing skills to create clear instructional materials.
