The classroom will have yourself a licensed and certified kindergarten teacher and a paraprofessional. This job will focus on all aspects of the Florida Public School Standards for Kindergarten. This is a formula that has been successful for over three decades at our "A" rated High Performing Montessori Charter School in West Melbourne, Florida. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to fostering a positive learning environment for young students. As an Elementary School Teacher, you will be responsible for educating and nurturing children in grades 5th and 6th, ensuring they develop essential skills and a love for learning. Duties Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with curriculum standards. Utilize effective classroom management techniques to maintain a productive learning environment. Educate students in various subjects, including literacy, mathematics, science, and social studies. Conduct standardized testing and assess student progress through regular evaluations. Provide early intervention strategies for students who may need additional support. Collaborate with colleagues to enhance curriculum development and share best practices. Mentor students to encourage personal growth and academic success. Maintain accurate records of student performance and communicate with parents regarding their child's progress. Create a safe and inclusive classroom atmosphere that promotes respect and diversity. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Education or related field; professional teaching certificate with the State of Florida is mandatory. Strong classroom management skills with the ability to engage students effectively. Experience in curriculum development and lesson planning is highly desirable. Proficiency in literacy education, including reading and writing instruction. Ability to proofread educational materials for accuracy and clarity. Knowledge of early intervention techniques to support diverse learners. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective interaction with students, parents, and staff.
