Understanding of special education process and procedures related to case management and IEP development; Knowledge of Illinois Learning Standards and evidence-based instructional practices to support the planning, implementing, and evaluating specially designed instruction in literacy, mathematics, and social-emotional learning; Effective behavioral support strategies to support implementation of behavioral interventions; Ability to collaborate team members with other teachers, service providers, and building and district leadership; Effective organizational skills and time management; Strong communication skills to convey important information to team members and families
