Job Description

SUMMARY Elliott County Primary is seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to join our team as a Primary Teacher. This full-time position offers an opportunity to inspire and educate young minds in a nurturing environment. The ideal candidate will be committed to fostering a love of learning and promoting the academic, social, and emotional development of students in grades
K-3. RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with the curriculum and meet the diverse needs of students. Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and collaboration. Assess and evaluate student progress through formal and informal assessments, providing timely feedback to students and parents. Collaborate with fellow teachers, staff, and administration to enhance the educational experience and address student needs. Maintain effective communication with parents and guardians regarding student progress and classroom activities. Organize and participate in school events, field trips, and extracurricular activities to promote community involvement. Uphold and enforce school policies and procedures, ensuring a safe and respectful learning environment for all students. Engage in continuous professional development to stay current with educational best practices and teaching strategies.
REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field. Valid teaching certification for primary education. Strong understanding of child development and age-appropriate teaching methods. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with students, parents, and colleagues. Ability to create a dynamic and engaging learning environment that accommodates various learning styles. Patience, creativity, and a passion for teaching young children. Proficiency in using technology to enhance instruction and engage students. Previous experience in a classroom setting is preferred but not required.
