You will work collaboratively with your teaching team and school leadership to provide high-quality early childhood education and care.
Your responsibilities will include:
Creating a warm, welcoming, safe, and engaging classroom environment. Building positive, nurturing relationships with every child. Planning and implementing developmentally appropriate learning experiences using Frog Street Curriculum, Lively Letters, The Magical Years Yearly Curriculum Supplement, and teacher-created activities. Creating hands-on opportunities in literacy, math, science, sensory exploration, art, and learning through play. Using positive behavior guidance and supporting children's social-emotional development and self-regulation. Providing individualized care based on each child's developmental needs. Maintaining an organized, inviting classroom with engaging learning centers and materials. Providing leadership and direction to Teacher Assistants and classroom support staff. Communicating professionally with families in person, during conferences, and through Procare. Documenting children's meals, naps, diapering/toileting, activities, and classroom experiences in Procare. Maintaining required teacher-to-child ratios and following all health, safety, licensing, and program procedures. Participating in staff meetings, professional development, trainings, family conferences, and school events. Working collaboratively with fellow educators, directors, and curriculum leadership. What We're Looking For We are looking for educators who are positive, dependable, professional, flexible, and genuinely passionate about working with young children.
Qualifications include:
EEC Teacher qualified. Early Childhood Education coursework/CDA as applicable to the position. Previous experience working with young children; 3+ years preferred. Ability to successfully complete all required background checks. CPR and First Aid certification or ability to obtain required certification. Strong communication and teamwork skills. Dependable and professional with reliable transportation. Ability to maintain required training and professional development. Comfortable using technology for classroom communication and documentation. Physical Requirements This is an active early childhood education position. Teachers must be able to sit on the floor, stand, walk, bend, reach, crawl, stoop, climb stairs, participate in indoor and outdoor activities, and safely lift or assist children and classroom equipment weighing up to approximately 50 pounds, with reasonable accommodations as applicable.
Pay:
$25.00 - $28.00 per hour Expected hours: 35.0 - 40.0 per week
