TeacherCoburn Elementary SchoolEssential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Create lesson plans that meet the individual needs, interests, and abilities of students
• Integrate competencies, goals, and objectives into lesson plans
• Plan, prepare and deliver instructional activities
• Employ a variety of instructional strategies that engage students at a high level
• Guide the learning process toward the achievement of established district and state curriculum standards
• Regularly assess and monitor student progress and achievement
• Utilize various curriculum resources and technologies to enhance student learning
• Create a positive classroom environment that supports effective teaching and learning
• Create a safe, structured and positive classroom environment which is responsive to student diversity, utilizing positive behavior interventions and strategies
• Regularly communicate student progress with parents/caregivers
• Maintain accurate records
• Participate in ongoing professional development/training
• Attend required faculty/staff meetings

Qualifications:

• Bachelors Degree from an accredited institution
• SEI endorsement
• Massachusetts Elementary Certification required
