Job Description

KinderCare is seeking a dedicated Elementary Teacher for Summit Academy North Elementary. In this role, you will create engaging, standards-aligned lessons, nurture social-emotional growth, and maintain a safe, inclusive classroom. You will assess student progress, provide differentiated instruction, and collaborate closely with families, support staff, and administrators. The ideal candidate is passionate about early and elementary education, embraces diversity, and is eager to learn and grow. You will also contribute to school events, support behavior expectations, and participate in ongoing professional development and curriculum planning. Responsibilities Design and deliver engaging, standards-aligned lessons for elementary students Create a safe, inclusive, and nurturing classroom environment Assess student learning and track academic and social-emotional progress Differentiate instruction to meet varied learning needs and styles Communicate regularly with families about student growth and classroom activities Collaborate with colleagues, support staff, and administrators on student support and school initiatives Implement positive behavior supports and classroom management strategies Participate in professional development and apply best practices in instruction Contribute to school events, meetings, and extracurricular activities as needed Maintain accurate records and comply with school and district policies Required Skills Curriculum planning and lesson design Classroom management Student assessment and progress monitoring Differentiated instruction Child development knowledge Parent and family communication Educational technology tools (e.g., LMS, tablets, smart boards) Literacy and numeracy instruction Collaboration with multidisciplinary teams Documentation and record keeping
