Join Our Community Northstar Montessori is seeking a warm, experienced, and passionate Lead Primary Montessori Teacher to guide a Primary classroom where children are encouraged to become confident, independent, and joyful learners. As our Lead Teacher, you will create a peaceful, engaging Montessori environment, build meaningful relationships with children and families, and collaborate with a supportive team dedicated to authentic Montessori education. This is a permanent, full-time (40 hours/week) position in Saline, Michigan. Applicants must hold a Primary Montessori Teaching Credential and live within commuting distance. Responsibilities Prepare and maintain a beautiful, organized Montessori classroom. Guide each child's academic, social, emotional, and physical development through observation and individualized lessons. Foster a calm, respectful, and joyful learning environment. Build positive partnerships with families through open communication. Collaborate with the Director, Assistant Teachers, and support staff. Mentor Assistant Teachers and model Montessori best practices. Participate in staff meetings, school events, and ongoing professional development. Maintain a safe, welcoming classroom and comply with State of Michigan requirements. Qualifications Primary Montessori Teaching Credential (required) Experience leading a Primary Montessori classroom preferred Strong understanding of Montessori philosophy Excellent communication and collaboration skills A caring, dependable educator who values lifelong learning Why Northstar Montessori?
