Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a passionate and dynamic Lead Primary Teacher to inspire young learners and foster a nurturing, engaging classroom environment. As a key leader in early childhood education, you will design and implement innovative curricula, manage classroom activities, and support the holistic development of children in your care. Your role will be vital in creating a positive learning atmosphere that promotes curiosity, confidence, and a love for learning. This position offers an exciting opportunity to lead by example, collaborate with dedicated staff, and make a meaningful impact on children's educational journeys. Duties Develop and implement lesson plans aligned with early childhood education standards, including literacy, math, physical education, and social-emotional skills. Lead classroom activities that promote active learning, creativity, and critical thinking among preschool and primary-aged children. Manage classroom behavior effectively through positive reinforcement strategies and behavior management techniques. Collaborate with colleagues to design curriculum development initiatives that incorporate Montessori methods and other innovative teaching approaches. Support children's individual needs through early intervention strategies and specialized support for children with disabilities or special education requirements. Monitor student progress using assessments and standardized testing to tailor instruction and provide targeted tutoring when necessary. Maintain open communication with parents and guardians regarding child welfare, progress reports, and developmental milestones. Ensure a safe, clean, and stimulating classroom environment that encourages exploration and respect for diversity. Oversee daily childcare routines including toddler care practices, preschool activities, and classroom management to ensure smooth operations. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field; Montessori certification is highly desirable. Proven experience working with children in preschool or primary settings, including classroom experience managing diverse learners. Strong knowledge of childhood development principles, curriculum development, behavior management techniques, and early intervention strategies. Familiarity with literacy education, math instruction, physical education activities, and standardized testing procedures. Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with staff, parents, and external specialists. Ability to lead lesson planning sessions that incorporate innovative teaching methods such as Montessori or other child-centered approaches. Experience working with children who have special needs or require additional support is preferred. Demonstrated commitment to child welfare, safety protocols, and creating an inclusive learning environment. $38,000.00 - $46,000.00 per year
