As a vital part of our early childhood education team, you will lead a classroom of preschool-aged children, implementing developmentally appropriate curriculum and creating a positive space for exploration, growth, and learning. Your role will involve planning and delivering dynamic lessons that promote literacy, math, social-emotional skills, and physical development while maintaining a safe and inclusive setting. This position offers an exciting opportunity to shape the foundational years of children's education through innovative teaching strategies. Duties Develop and implement comprehensive curriculum plans aligned with early childhood education standards, including literacy, math, physical education, and social skills. Create a stimulating classroom environment that encourages curiosity, independence, and respect among children. Manage daily classroom activities with effective behavior management techniques to promote positive interactions and discipline. Conduct ongoing assessments of child development progress through observations, standardized testing where appropriate, and documentation to tailor instruction to individual needs. Communicate regularly with parents or guardians about their child's progress, milestones, and any concerns to foster strong home-school connections. Ensure compliance with mandated reporting laws related to child safety and welfare; respond promptly to any incidents or concerns. Collaborate with colleagues on lesson planning, classroom management strategies, and early intervention initiatives for children requiring additional support. Maintain a safe environment by promoting physical activity and overall well-being through experience-based learning activities. Qualifications B-2 or 1-6 NYS Teaching Certification. Proven experience working with young children in an educational setting; preschool teaching experience preferred. Strong knowledge of childhood development principles, curriculum development, behavior management techniques, and early intervention strategies. Familiarity with special education practices and experience supporting children with diverse learning needs is highly desirable. Excellent communication skills for effective parent engagement and team collaboration. Demonstrated ability to manage classroom dynamics effectively while fostering an inclusive environment that supports all learners. Background in literacy education, math instruction, physical education, or tutoring young children is advantageous. Join our team to make a meaningful impact during these formative years! We are committed to providing a supportive environment where educators thrive while shaping the bright futures of our youngest learners through energetic teaching and compassionate care.
