Elementary Teacher (gr 4-6)

Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Elementary School Teacher to join our educational team. As an Elementary School Teacher, you will play a vital role in shaping the minds of young students and helping them grow academically and socially. The ideal candidate will have a strong educational background, excellent classroom management skills, and a genuine interest in working with children. Must hold a state teacher certification or be working towards one. Experiences with the Catholic faith is preferred. Duties
  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans aligned with state standards to meet the educational needs of students.
  • Teach a range of subjects to students, including reading, writing, mathematics, science, and social studies.
  • Conduct assessments to identify areas of student strength and weakness and inform instruction.
  • Use standardized testing to evaluate student progress and adjust instruction accordingly.
  • Provide individualized support to students with special needs, including autism and other learning disabilities.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement early intervention strategies.
  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that fosters social, emotional, and academic growth.
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and communicate with parents regularly.
  • Write detailed progress reports and recommendations for student advancement.
  • Maintain a safe and organized classroom environment that promotes student learning and well-being. Skills
  • The ability to educate students of diverse backgrounds and abilities.
  • Experience working with students with special needs.
  • Strong classroom management skills to ensure a positive and productive learning environment.
  • Experience with standardized testing and the ability to use assessment data to inform instruction.
  • A passion for working with children and a commitment to providing individualized support.
  • Excellent writing skills to create detailed progress reports and recommendations.
  • The ability to work with colleagues to develop and implement plans for student success.
