Job Description St. Bernard's School is seeking an energetic, collaborative educator to join our close-knit teaching team. This role is ideal for a teacher who thrives in a supportive, mission-driven environment and is passionate about creating engaging learning experiences for the whole child. The successful candidate will work closely with colleagues, students, and families to foster academic growth, character development, and a strong sense of community grounded in faith and service.
Key Responsibilities Classroom Instruction:
Deliver high-quality, engaging, standards-aligned instruction in a classroom setting, using a variety of approaches to meet the needs of diverse learners.
Differentiated Learning:
Adapt instruction to support and challenge all students, including those needing additional support or enrichment, while maintaining high expectations for growth and achievement.
Classroom Culture:
Create a safe, welcoming, and inclusive classroom environment where students feel known, valued, and supported. Establish clear routines, expectations, and a positive learning culture.
Faith & Mission Integration:
Embed the mission and values of St. Bernard's School into daily classroom life by modeling Christian values, fostering kindness and respect, and encouraging students to grow in character and faith.
Assessment & Student Growth:
Use a variety of formal and informal assessments to monitor progress, guide instruction, and provide meaningful feedback that supports student development.
Collaboration & Teamwork:
Work closely with grade-level and school-wide colleagues to align instruction, share best practices, and support student needs across the school community.
Family Partnership:
Communicate regularly with families, building strong partnerships that support student learning and well-being. Engage families as active participants in their child's education.
Student Support & Advocacy:
Recognize and respond to the academic, social, and emotional needs of students. Collaborate with support staff as needed to ensure each child is supported and challenged appropriately.
Qualifications & Skills Collaborative Mindset:

Education & Certification:
Bachelor's degree in Education or related field required. Teaching certification preferred but not required. $30,000.00 - $38,000.00 per year
