Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Certified Montessori Teacher to join our Infant and Toddler classroom. In this vital role, you will create a nurturing, engaging, and developmentally appropriate environment that fosters early childhood growth and curiosity. Your expertise in Montessori philosophy, combined with your love for working with young children, will inspire a lifelong love of learning. This position offers an exciting opportunity to shape the foundational years of our youngest learners through innovative lesson planning, individualized attention, and a commitment to child welfare. You will be instrumental in supporting children's social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development in a warm and structured setting. Responsibilities Develop and implement Montessori-inspired curriculum tailored to infants and toddlers that promotes independence, exploration, and foundational skills. Create a safe, welcoming classroom environment that encourages curiosity, respect, and positive social interactions among children. Plan and execute daily activities that support early childhood development milestones across areas such as literacy education, math concepts, physical education, and sensory exploration. Manage classroom routines including diapering, feeding, nap times, and transitions with patience and professionalism. Observe and assess each child's progress regularly; document developmental milestones and communicate effectively with parents or guardians about their child's growth. Apply behavior management strategies rooted in positive reinforcement to foster self-regulation and social skills. Collaborate with colleagues to ensure adherence to early intervention strategies when needed and support inclusive practices for children with special education requirements. Maintain accurate records of attendance, lesson plans, assessments, and compliance with licensing standards for childcare centers or private schools. Qualifications Valid certification as a Montessori teacher specializing in infant/toddler education from an accredited program. Proven experience working with children in early childhood settings; preschool or daycare experience is highly valued. Strong knowledge of childhood development principles, classroom management techniques, and behavior management strategies. Familiarity with curriculum development that incorporates literacy education, math concepts, physical activity, and social-emotional learning. Excellent communication skills to engage effectively with children, parents, colleagues, and community partners. Ability to plan engaging lessons that meet developmental needs while adhering to safety standards. Experience working with children requiring special education or early intervention services is a plus.
