Location:
11579 Cedar Chase Rd, Herndon About the Role In this role, you will create and lead a model Children's House /Primary classroom . Through your efforts, families will experience what is possible for their child when authentic, high-quality Montessori is fully alive within the prepared environment. You will be provided with a full set of high-quality Montessori materials from leading manufacturers, along with a classroom budget to personalize and elevate your environment. This is a full-time position with an 8-hour paid workday (40-hour work week). Candidates must be flexible to work within operating hours of 7:00 AM - 6:00 PM .
Starting salary:
$48,000 annually (based on experience and credentials) Key Responsibilities Prepare and maintain a beautiful, orderly, and developmentally appropriate Montessori environment Deliver high-fidelity Montessori instruction aligned with AMS/AMI principles Observe, guide, and support each child's individual learning journey Foster independence, concentration, and intrinsic motivation in children Maintain accurate student records, observations, and progress reports Build strong, professional relationships with parents through communication and conferences Collaborate with school leadership and peers to ensure program excellence Uphold all licensing, health, and safety standards at all times What We Offer Ongoing professional development and Montessori training A network of supportive peers and mentors who regularly share best practices Clear career growth and promotion opportunities Competitive benefits package , including: Health, dental, and vision insurance Paid time off (PTO) and paid holidays Tuition discount for up to two children enrolled in our network (ages 3 months-6 years) The opportunity to contribute to a high-quality Montessori program that meets the needs of each individual child Qualifications We'd love to speak with you if you: Hold a Montessori Diploma/Certificate (0-3 or 3-6) or are willing to complete sponsored Montessori training Have completed: 90-hour pre-service training 45 hours: Child Growth & Development 45 hours: Curriculum 9-hour Communication Course Hold a Bachelor's Degree (Early Childhood Education preferred) Have experience working with children in a group setting (school, daycare, aftercare, or nursery) What We're Looking For A genuine passion for helping children develop independence and confidence A collaborative mindset — open to both guiding others and being guided Strong ability to partner with parents in their child's development High level of professionalism, ownership, and pride in your work Comfort with learning, feedback, and growth ( friendly with error mindset) Energy, warmth, and enthusiasm for working with young children Physical & Work Requirements Ability to stand, walk, bend, and sit on the floor for extended periods Ability to lift up to 40 pounds (as needed for classroom support) Maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment Equal Employment Opportunity Our schools are committed to a policy of Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) .
