This is a unique opportunity for a teacher to spend the first semester learning alongside an experienced classroom teacher before transitioning into the lead teaching role in January. From August through December , the successful candidate will serve as a classroom aide and co-teacher, becoming familiar with our students, curriculum, daily routines, classroom management, and school culture. Beginning in January , the candidate will assume full responsibility as the lead teacher for our Grade 4/5 split classroom. (Pay Change) This position is ideal for an educator who values collaboration, enjoys building relationships with students, and appreciates the opportunity for a smooth transition into a lead teaching role.

Responsibilities August-December:

Support the lead teacher in daily classroom instruction and activities. Build positive relationships with students and families. Learn classroom routines, curriculum, and school expectations. Assist with lesson preparation, small-group instruction, and classroom management. Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and school events. Beginning in

January:

Plan and deliver engaging instruction for a Grade 4/5 split classroom. Foster a positive, Christ-centered learning environment. Assess student learning and communicate progress with families. Collaborate with colleagues to support student success. Maintain an organized and welcoming classroom. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field. Valid teaching certification (or ability to obtain one, as applicable). Experience teaching at the elementary level is preferred. Strong classroom management and communication skills. A personal Christian faith and a commitment to supporting the mission and values of Evergreen Christian Private School. Ability to work collaboratively with staff, students, and families.
