Job Description

The 21st CCLC Program is an after school and summer enrichment opportunity for students who qualify for free•or reduced-price lunch and/or are not meeting academic standards. Students are invited to take part in this free opportunity. Families of student participants are offered family engagement and education opportunities.
Time Commitment:
14-20 hours per week during the school year, 20-25 hours per week for 4-6 weeks in the summer
Elementary Hours:
3:45 pm•6:45 pm, Monday•Thursday (additional hours for planning activities and meetings, as needed)
Middle School Hours:
3:00 pm•6:00 pm, Monday•Thursday (additional hours for planning activities and meetings, as needed)
Rate of Pay:
All hours at $25 per hour
Overview:
Direct Service Staff will implement the after school program provided by Washington Alliance for Better Schools (WABS) 21st Century Learning Community Center Grant partnered with Marysville School District. Direct Service Staff shall meet the following requirements established by the 21st Century Learning Community Center Grant and provide the following: Plan and Teach innovative, hands-on, small group instruction in reading, math, or STEM for student attendees at specific school program (K•8th grade). Enthusiasm to create a positive after school environment for students. Help implement the recruitment process for youth to attend the after school program. Work with partners that come in to implement enrichment activities with students. Plan and implement enrichment activities and instructional lessons for students. Awareness and understanding of issues faced by students of color, low-income students, students of immigrant, refugee, or homeless families. Assist youth in meeting state and local achievement standards in core subjects•reading and math by offering high quality after-school academic enrichment and summer extension programs. Align activities to school district and state standards, as well as teacher recommendations. Facilitate family engagement and educational opportunities to increase literacy and related educational development. Attend 21st CCLC staff development and meetings as required by WABS and/or grant. Attend regular staff meetings and professional development opportunities.
