Prairie Hill Waldorf School is accepting applications for an immediate, full-time Grade 1 Lead Teacher for the 2026-2027 school year. Candidate must have a bachelor's degree and prior teaching experience. A Waldorf certificate or degree is preferred but not necessary and a willingness to participate in Waldorf training. Waldorf faculty members are an integral part of the governance of the school. The teacher will work collaboratively within the Grades department. We seek candidates who are committed to the values of Waldorf education, a teacher who is joyful and warm, with strong interpersonal communication skills, effective classroom management, and enthusiasm for teaching and learning. Prairie Hill Waldorf School was founded in 1987 and is a full member of AWSNA (Association of Waldorf Schools of North America). We have 190 students from pre-k to grade eight, robust parent and tot classes and an outstanding faculty and staff of forty. Our faculty is grounded in a commitment to anthroposophy, and we have an enthusiastic and supportive parent body and board of trustees. We are an established, thriving school offering a Waldorf curriculum. Prairie Hill Waldorf School is situated on fourteen acres of land including gardens, fields, wetlands and small woods located in the beautiful Lake Country of Delafield between Milwaukee and Madison, WI. Also available in the area are a Lifeways Training Center, the Great Lakes Teacher Training program, anthroposophical medicine and a pharmacy, and many other opportunities. The salary for the position is dependent on teaching experience and education.
