About Wellbright School Wellbright is a forward-thinking micro-school dedicated to holistic education, life skills development, and individualized learning. Position Overview Wellbright is seeking an elementary school teacher for students age 6-9. The teacher role is a blend of classroom teacher, tutor, and student mentor . About half of the work involves helping students with academic subjects, and the other half involves supporting students' behavior, motivation, confidence, and emotional regulation throughout the day.

Responsibilities include:

Teach small multi-age groups of students - Math, Reading, Writing Provide academic support to students individually - Social Studies, Science, Life Skills Support students when they are frustrated, discouraged, distracted, or acting out Model calm communication, patience, respect, and positive problem-solving Assist school leadership with daily routine.

Ideal candidate:

Enjoys working with children ages 6-9 Can incorporate elements of game into teaching Is patient, calm, dependable, and emotionally mature Understands that some children need extra help with behavior, focus, and self-control Can be firm when needed while remaining kind and respectful Has tutoring, childcare, teaching, coaching, or youth leadership experience Familiarity with Montessori and/or Waldorf education philosophy is a plus Requirements Associate or Bachelor's degree Prior teaching experience, but recent college graduates with Education Major are welcome Ability to explain material clearly and patiently to students Must be dependable, calm, patient, and able to support students with both academic and behavioral challenges Work week is 4 days, typically from 9 till 3.
