Byblos Vacancy date: Fall2027 The Department ofCivil Engineering at the Lebanese American University (LAU) invites applicants for a full-time tenure-trackfaculty position in CivilEngineering effective September 2027. The position will be at the assistant professor rank but qualifiedcandidates with establishedteaching and research credentials may be considered at higher ranks. Visiting faculty positions at all rankswill also be, considered forone year appointment, extendable to two years. Candidates must have an undergraduate degree and a Ph. D.in Civil Engineering withspecialization in structural engineering (with preference given to those who have U.S. experience in teaching orindustry, and to holders ofP.E. licenses). Postdoctoral experience and/or expertise in teaching will be an advantage. The successfulcandidate will be expected toteach at both the undergraduate- and graduate-levels, build a strong research program, attract externalfunding, advise undergraduate andgraduate students, contribute to curriculum development, and participate in service activities in thedepartment, School and theUniversity.
