317-Dept of Global Interdisciplinary Studies Position Summary Villanova University invites applications for adjunct teaching position in Japanese language for undergraduate courses only. We are looking for a drill instructor in our Beginner and Intermediate levels. The applicant must be committed to excellence in the teaching of Japanese. Villanova is a Catholic university sponsored by the Augustinian Order. Duties and Responsibilities Teaching and related duties will vary with the specific course(s) being taught. Minimum Qualifications Advanced degree in Japanese or a closely related discipline is required. Must have experience teaching Japanese at least up to Intermediate level. The applicant must be committed to excellence in teaching. Preferred Qualifications Previous teaching experience preferred-at least, two years of post-secondary teaching in a related field. In fall 2024, candidate must be available to teach drill sections of Beginner and Intermediate Japanese on Monday 8:30am to 1:40pm. The schedule may be restructured in subsequent semesters. Salary Posting Information This adjunct position falls within the salary range of $1,160.00 - $2,230.00 per credit/contact hour. The final compensation will be determined with consideration of several factors including the selected candidate's educational qualifications, course type (drill, lab, lecture), course level (undergraduate or graduate), and market benchmarks.
