POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
Deliver engaging, rigorous English Language Arts instruction aligned to Illinois Learning Standards. Foster an inclusive and supportive classroom environment where all students can thrive. Collaborate with colleagues through Professional Learning Communities (PLCs) to improve student learning. Use student achievement data to inform instruction and provide timely, meaningful feedback. Build strong partnerships with students, families, and colleagues to support student success.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with appropriate English Language Arts endorsement. Strong instructional, communication, and classroom management skills. Commitment to equity, collaboration, and continuous professional growth.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Master's degree in English, Education, Curriculum & Instruction, or a related field. Experience teaching Advanced Placement (AP), International Baccalaureate (IB), Honors, or Dual Credit English courses. Experience implementing culturally responsive teaching practices and differentiated instruction. Demonstrated success using assessment data to improve student outcomes. Experience integrating instructional technology to enhance student learning. Active participation in Professional Learning Communities (PLCs) and collaborative instructional planning.
