Job Description
The Department of Geography, Planning, and Sustainability is seeking dedicated adjunct instructors in topics served by our degree programs, including the:
Bachelor of Science in Geographic Information Science
Bachelor of Science in Community and Environmental Planning
Bachelor of Arts in Environmental and Sustainability Studies
Bachelor of Arts in Geography
Master of Urban and Regional Planning A hallmark of the programs in our department is small class sizes that integrate disciplinary theory, practical skills and techniques, and career preparedness.
Courses may be offered during daytime, evening, online, or mixed modalities, with consideration of curricular need and resource availability. Candidates for adjunct positions must hold a Master's degree, with scholarly expertise or work experience in the proposed topics. Candidates must be eligible to work in the United States This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship. Note:
Candidates must be eligible to work in the United States. The University will not sponsor a visa for this position. In compliance with The State of New Jersey's Pay Transparency Act , and in accordance with the current MOA, Rowan University adjuncts are provided with a minimum of $2,225 per credit for all courses taught, with a maximum teaching load of 8 credits per semester and 12 credits in an academic year. Courses will be assigned to instructors by College & Department on an as-needed basis.
