Position Summary The University of Central Arkansas Clinical Instructor I is responsible for teaching, research and service. This position is governed by state and federal laws and agency/institution policy. The position is non-tenure track and a nine-month appointment. Job Duties and Responsibilities The successful candidate will provide high-quality classroom instruction and clinical education to
undergraduate and graduate students within the Department of Communication Sciences and
Disorders. Teaching responsibilities may include undergraduate foundational courses. Clinical
responsibilities will include supervising and mentoring graduate student clinicians in the
University Speech-Language-Hearing Center, while providing evidence-based assessment and
intervention services across a broad range of communication disorders. The successful candidate
will foster students' clinical reasoning, professionalism, and development of competencies
required for entry into professional practice. Additional responsibilities include collaborating with
faculty to strengthen academic and clinical programming, supporting the growth and enhancement
of clinical services, participating in departmental, college, and university service activities, and
contributing to student recruitment, retention, and program initiatives. Candidates with experience
in interprofessional education and collaborative practice, clinical innovation, and community
engagement are preferred. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities This position requires knowledge and skills to serve a wide variety of disorders in addition to working closely with graduate students and faculty in the clinical process. Interprofessional collaborative practices experience preferred. Skills Considered Essential for Success

Required Education and/or Experience Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology Preferred Education and/or Experience Minimum of 5 years of clinical experience in a variety of settings (pediatrics, school, rehab), experience with telehealth, andexperience supervising master's level clinical students. License(s)/Certifications (Required or Preferred)
