Continuing Education Coordinator

POSITION DESCRIPTION
The Continuing Education Coordinator oversees the planning, development, marketing and administration of adult learning and professional development courses to the community and local business & industry to generate income for the college.
MAJOR DUTIES
PROGRAM
COORDINATION
In collaboration with the Associate Dean of Economic Development determines community and business & industry educational training market needs In collaboration with the Associate Dean of Economic Development determines sales price in collaboration with the Associate Dean of Economic development to market and sell adult learning and professional development courses. Manage course scheduling, supplies, instructor coordination, student enrollment, compliance requirements, and program evaluation to ensure high‑quality learning experiences that meet organizational, industry, and accreditation standards.
INTERFACE ROLE
Assists visitors and students with information related to classes, registration, and payments Monitors and replies to phone, social media and email inquiries for the Economic Development division Attends community events and industry visits as need as a representative of Economic Development Performs related duties to include partnering with Career Services, Academic Affairs, WIOA and External Affairs to promote, bolster awareness of, or otherwise market Economic Development programs Works with external partners and resources (Chamber of Commerce, Community Organizations, Linked In/Facebook, etc.) to promote and market program offerings
OPERATIONAL/FINANCIAL PROCESS
Registers individuals and group participants for classes Maintains class files, student and trainer records Analyze program performance, track outcomes, and report data Ensures ordering of program training supplies and materials. Works with academic credit supervisors in use of common instructor's Maintains awareness of assigned programs to include federal, state, and local statute and regulations Scheduling, reviewing and creating classes in business software such as Modern Campus Monitors the financial processes, audits, and training, including third party payments. Enters and Maintains enrollment, courses, AR & AP in Modern Campus Prepares and reviews instructors' teaching agreements. Processes instructor new hire paperwork, contracts, timesheets, and invoices for payment. Processes requisitions for instructors, materials and supplies Work with Business Office for invoicing and collection of payment
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's Degree

• Two (2) years related work experience.

Experience my substitute for the degree on a year-for-year basis.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Possession of or ability to readily obtain a valid driver's license issued by the State of Georgia for the type of vehicle or equipment operated. Bachelor's Degree or certification in Business Administration, Marketing, Project Management or other Business-related fields. Documented Experience in Customer Service, Sales and/or Project Management
SALARY/BENEFITS
$51,373.38 annually. Benefits include paid holidays, annual leave, and the State of Georgia Flexible Benefits Program. Please be aware that Chattahoochee Tech employees will be paid by direct deposit, unless exempted by the State Accounting Office based on "hardship" evidence provided by the employee.
