Job Description

Summary We are seeking an Attendance Specialist to join our Central Office/District Wide team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in monitoring, managing, and improving student attendance across the district. This position requires strong organizational skills, excellent communication abilities, and a passion for supporting students' academic success through effective attendance strategies. Responsibilities Monitor and track student attendance data across all schools within the district. Analyze attendance trends and identify areas for improvement. Collaborate with school administrators, teachers, and support staff to develop and implement attendance improvement plans. Communicate regularly with families regarding attendance policies, procedures, and the importance of regular school attendance. Maintain accurate and up-to-date attendance records and databases. Prepare reports and presentations for district leadership on attendance trends and initiatives. Understand Infinite Campus and its capabilities Requirements Previous experience in an educational setting, particularly in attendance tracking or student support roles, is highly desirable. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and identify trends. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with students, families, and staff. Proficiency in using Infinite Campus and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines. Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment. Flexibility and adaptability to changing priorities and needs within the district.
