Northwest Louisiana Technical Community College is currently accepting applications for the following position: Director of Admissions and Advising The Director of Admissions and Advising provides college-wide leadership for admissions, onboarding, academic advising, and registration readiness. The position ensures students successfully move from application through admission, advising, academic planning, and registration while establishing consistent practices across NLTCC locations. The Director oversees credit and noncredit admissions processes and the professional advising function, including advisor assignments, caseload management, advising standards, and coordination with faculty advisors. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide college-wide leadership for credit and noncredit admissions, application processing, applicant follow-up, and admissions procedures.
- Monitor the admissions pipeline, identify incomplete or stalled applications, and implement strategies that improve application completion and enrollment conversion.
- Oversee professional academic advising, including advising standards, advisor assignments, caseload management, academic planning, documentation, and student follow-up.
- Coordinate professional and faculty advising with Academic Affairs to ensure clear handoffs, consistent expectations, and appropriate student support.
- Lead new student onboarding and orientation and ensure admitted students complete required steps for advising and registration.
- Lead the advising component of new student registration and monitor advised students who have not completed registration.
- Coordinate academic interventions resulting from early alerts, including academic planning, course sequencing, pathway review, and registration-related concerns.
- Ensure student affairs staff appropriately use Degree Works, ConexED, and other approved College systems and maintain accurate documentation.
- Establish and monitor admissions and advising performance measures, including application completion, processing time, advising completion, caseloads, registration readiness, and enrollment conversion.
- Supervise, train, coach, and evaluate assigned admissions and advising personnel and promote consistent student service standards across NLTCC locations.
- Collaborate with Student Success, Student Affairs Operations & Systems, Financial Aid, the Registrar, Academic Affairs, Workforce Development, Adult Education, and other areas to remove enrollment and progression barriers.
- Participate in strategic enrollment management, institutional effectiveness, accreditation, policy development, College planning, and other duties assigned by the Vice Chancellor.
- Other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited institution.
- Three years of progressively responsible experience in admissions, academic advising, enrollment management, student affairs, higher education administration, or a related field.
- Experience with college admissions, advising, registration, enrollment processes, or comparable student services.
- Demonstrated leadership, supervision, project coordination, or program management experience.
- Experience using student information systems, CRM platforms, advising systems, or similar technology.
- Strong organizational, analytical, written, verbal, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to analyze enrollment and student success data, manage multiple priorities, and work collaboratively across departments and locations. Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in higher education administration, student affairs, counseling, education, public administration, business, or a related field.
- Experience in a community or technical college environment.
- Experience supervising admissions or academic advising personnel.
- Experience with Banner, Degree Works, ConexED, or comparable higher education systems.
- Experience with case-management advising, advisor caseloads, process improvement, or enrollment funnel analysis.
- Knowledge of career and technical education, workforce education, adult learners, and Louisiana public higher education. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Knowledge of admissions, academic advising, registration, student progression, and enrollment processes.
- Ability to establish consistent college-wide procedures and service standards.
- Ability to manage advisor assignments and caseloads and use data to improve student outcomes.
- Strong leadership, communication, collaboration, customer service, and process-improvement skills.
- Commitment to student access, persistence, completion, workforce development, and the mission of NLTCC.

$55,000 annual salary
