Job Description
Key Responsibilities Supervise the admissions and marketing coordinators and provide coverage for their responsibilities as needed during periods of absence. Serve as a primary point of contact between prospective residents, their families, and the facility. Establish, cultivate, and expand relationships with referral sources. Build and maintain strong working relationships with local hospitals, healthcare providers, and community organizations. Identify and pursue public relations, outreach, and marketing opportunities that support facility growth. Oversee and coordinate the admissions process, including required documentation, paperwork, and assessments. Conduct pre-admission screenings and evaluations to determine appropriate placement and services. Educate prospective residents and families regarding facility services, policies, procedures, and expectations. Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to support appropriate care planning and continuity of care. Ensure admissions records and related documentation are complete, accurate, and maintained in accordance with applicable requirements. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a related field and/or 3-5 years of relevant experience in long-term care. Working knowledge of state and federal regulations applicable to the nursing facility admissions process. Understanding of sales processes and the ability to effectively close admission agreements. Demonstrated empathy and sensitivity when working with individuals and families during the transition to long-term care. Strong presentation, communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills. Genuine interest in meeting the healthcare and support needs of older adults and individuals with chronic conditions, with the ability to work effectively with both populations. Ability to maintain confidentiality, discretion, and professionalism in a healthcare environment. Ability to collaborate effectively and contribute positively within a team-oriented setting.
