Job Description
Overview We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Health Education Program Manager to lead community health initiatives surrounding cancer prevention, cancer care continuum, and tobacco cessation programs. This role offers an exciting opportunity to develop, implement, and evaluate innovative health education programs that promote wellness, prevent disease, and empower individuals to make informed health decisions. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for public health, strong leadership skills, and a commitment to serving underserved communities through culturally competent outreach and education. Responsibilities Develop, coordinate, and oversee comprehensive health education programs tailored to community needs, ensuring alignment with public health policies and best practices. Lead community outreach efforts by engaging with local organizations, healthcare providers, and community leaders to foster partnerships and expand program reach. Conduct health education sessions using motivational interviewing techniques, public speaking engagements, and culturally sensitive communication strategies. Manage program logistics including scheduling, resource allocation, and tracking program outcomes through data collection and analysis. Experience Proven experience in public health program planning, development, and implementation within diverse or underserved communities. Strong background in health education principles, client communication, and community engagement techniques. Demonstrated ability to work effectively with individuals and culturally diverse populations. Excellent written skills for report writing, grant applications, and educational materials; strong public speaking skills for presentations and workshops. Ability to motivate others through motivational interviewing techniques while fostering trust and rapport with clients. Basic knowledge of Electronic Health Records and Patient Management Systems preferred. Grant writing and budget management experience needed. Must have reliable transportation to be able to travel as needed. Preference given to qualified Native Americans. Submit copy of Native status with resume to claim preference.
